[’So Far: The Art of Dale Frank 1980-2005 traces a trajectory in the work of Australian artist Dale Frank. The book considers his early performances of the 1970s and early 1980s and the themes that emerged from the mid-1990s onward culminating with a discussion of his most recent paintings. This extraordinarily beautiful book includes instances of the large-scale drawings, the 'social sculptures' and the 'Varnish Paintings'.
So Far is a magnificent career retrospective monograph, notable for its high production values and the new light it sheds on a major Australian artist... Dale Frank is amongst the best known and respected artists of his generation. He has shown extensively in Australia, Europe and the US and amongst many exhibitions, has had a major survey at the Museum of Contemporary Art, Sydney and a solo exhibition at the Art Gallery of New South Wales.‘]

King Grahameview full entry
Reference: The Art of Grahame King by Sasha Grishin. [’Grahame King’s life as an artist began with his mastery of the new art of colour reproduction as a photolithographic colour etcher in Melbourne in the 1930s. At the same time, study at the National Gallery Art School with George Bell assisted his development as a painter. After war service and travels abroad, King returned to Melbourne with his wife, the sculptor Inge King. The two held a number of joint exhibitions of paintings and sculptures in Australia throughout the 1950s and then, from c.1962 Grahame King turned his attention, increasingly, towards the art of lithography becoming a master in this field of printmaking. He has also devoted himself to promoting the art of lithography and printmaking generally through the Print Council of Australia. He is often called Australias patron saint of printmaking. The book examines his seven decades working as an artist in Melbourne and is lavishly illustrated with colour reproductions throughout.’]

Victor Greenaway is one of the most respected figures in the ceramic art world.
The comprehensive selection of work in this book reveals the journey of this artist in pursuit of strength and diversity, refinement and purity of form and surface.
As a young artist he took inspiration from the folk-art traditions of England and Japan. He has developed and refined the wheel-thrown form into what is now widely recognised as a particularly Australian idiom. The book is fully illustrated, with biographical notes.

The Dining Hall

The Myer Emporium Ltd NAPIER WALLER MURALS :The panels for the Myer Mural Hall are significant at the National level. They were specially commissioned by the founder of the Myer Emporium, Sidney Myer, to enhance the Mural Hall, designed as an elegant restaurant in line with the leading London and American stores of the day. It is a consciously decorative scheme, the last surviving period room of its kind, and one of the most impressive, with few parallels anywhere in the world. Napier Waller presents an homage to the Arts, the Seasons, and to Women and their achievements. It is a daring project and the completed interior has been described as "the finest example of the Art Deco period in Australia".(Draffin)

Reference: Framed - Photographs of Australian Artists by Michel Lawrence [Creative Diretor of J. Walter Thompson Advertising] [86 artists to be indexed] [’The post-war years in Australian art saw the emergence of a group of great artists: Arthur Boyd, Sid Nolan, John Perceval, Donald Friend, Lloyd Rees, Albert Tucker and John Olsen, to name a few. Michel Lawrence spent ten years recording the era, knowing full well that time was running out to photograph Australia’s rich, post-1945 art history. The result was Framed - Portraits of Australian Artists. Formal portraits, reportage and images of the artist’s studios combine to give a comprehensive picture of the people who made this such an exciting period in Australian art history. ‘]
